what if the biggest thing that is blocking your awakening is the one thing that you never question stay with me because once you see it everything shifts instantly so you have been to retreats you read all the books you know the lingo you have meditated for hours and here you are still not awakened still not enlightened and you don't know why and if this question is not letting you sleep at night this video is for you so I'm going to share four main reasons why this recognition hasn't happened yet and what's in the way so that you can take a look there and maybe something will shift for you too so the first thing first what is enlightenment what is awakening have you ever sat down and thought for yourself or you only read other people's descriptions and listen to other people's videos and then you kind of know what awakening is once the mind creates a picture that's it you know how awakening is and what it should look like and how you should feel because this that and the other said so but it's not about some external opinion about awakening it's what is here already right now so it's not something to gain it's something to lose well first thing to lose is that image in your mind because it's not the truth the mind doesn't know yeah so I give you a clue this awakening is an absence of resistance and what is resistance resistance is always this tension that feels like it's push pushes and pulls something towards or away and we'll look into resistance in more detail but for now let's just take a moment and think for yourself what is that you are looking for precisely what is this enlightenment because yes it's a concept yes it's an idea yes something to attain but in your experience what is missing what are you looking for that is already actually here but cannot be seen okay with awakening with enlightenment you cannot borrow somebody else's knowing it has to come from you it's not about gaining anything it's about an absence a sensation something drops away an illusion of separate self drops away and then there is this just this the presence being here being now that's it everything's okay everything's flowing everything what needs to come in comes in what needs to go goes it's not something that you need to get or to achieve rather is dropping away something falls away the first obstacle the biggest obstacle and everyone has that doesn't matter where you come from is expectations as I mentioned the mind has an image how this should look like what I should look like what I'm going to gain what I'm going to lose and that image is being constantly compared with reality with actual experience and because reality doesn't fit the image then the reality is wrong and the image is right but what if that image is wrong and you don't need that at all because the mind cannot know everything that it imagines this awakening to be is wrong so wow how to deal with expectations if you want to see them you have to actually make a list or in the mind perhaps but much better on a paper because then you can see what expectations are running in there if you are able to just put all these expectations on pause and just look at what is here with openness and curiosity that's fine well you may still need to deal with expectations later but for now just for now I don't know anything come in with this attitude with this openness i don't know anything i don't know anything about awakening or enlightenment i don't know do you know i don't right the next one is fear so if we look at fear as part of the protection or security system we can see it as an alarm let's say you have a house you set an alarm an intruder comes in an alarm just goes beep beep beep it's annoying right but it doesn't hurt you it's just an alarm the alarm is here to warn about the danger so what is being protected here by this fear because fear comes in fear says "Oh don't look there." because um I can die I can cease to exist uh I will lose all my loved ones my mind is going to disappear or whatever stories it's telling that feeling in the body the feeling the contraction and that jolt of energy that you're feeling with fear that we call fear is here to warn about the danger but are you going to stop here or you going to move past that alarm signal so what is behind the fear and what when you look behind the fear it's it's a little trick like you feel the fear you acknowledge it you kind of respect that it's doing a big job and is being part of security system it's a friend really so what is that it's protecting what is there behind the fear that needs that protection huh again it's the image it's the individuality it's the persona it's the character something that is in danger because you heard that there is no you there is no self there is nobody here all these words are kind of threatening the existence of that character but that character is not you it's an image in the mind right so we can look at the fear acknowledge it's here letting it be and look behind it and see what is there that it's protecting perhaps that doesn't need protection but it's actually the doorway to go in and see for yourself what is this all about the next obstacle is resistance oh you're no resistance that's that's a big one because every push and pull I like I don't like this shouldn't be happening it's all resistance resentment is resistance desperation is resistance everything that is says that this that is here right now is not enough it's not good enough i'm not good enough is resistance because this belief system has formed about this core belief that I am here as a separate individual being and I like this I don't like that and this is how I should be seen by others and here you go we have this bundle of thought emotion and behaviors that we call me so this structure is being protected by resistance because anything else could come in and destroy it or change it or do something to it and it has to rearrange itself and it's a big job you know so the resistance is here again as part of the protection mechanism is holding the system in place like the matrix feel the resistance acknowledge it's here you know it's not you even though it says I resist and we think that that sensation of resistance is what I am this me this is the separate self this is how it feels it's not it's not you it's just a contraction in body that comes together with resistance so what if next time you see that resistance you say I agree yes I agree i don't like this this is horrible i want this to be gone i hate this oh god this is just not right i agree just saying that the resistance is acknowledged it's not denied anymore it's not in the background it's not running your life anymore it's acknowledged and it's brought right here in the front saying I agree try that i find that this is a wonderful way to acknowledge it agree with it so we can start opening up that bundle and we can look inside and see what's going on there obstacle number four this is a surprise one this is not something that you would usually hear about this is waiting waiting and waiting you know you're here because you are waiting for something to happen some kind of shift so maybe lights in the eyes or angels should be coming or something should be shifting something but not this not this this is not enough right you see how all these parts come together the expectations the fear that this will never be achieved and also the resistance that says that this is not good enough I'm waiting for something else to come to happen right so whatever is Here is something to look at it's not to look through but it's to look at and this waiting what is that what is there that is being called waiting let's look there where is it it's mainly in the heart isn't it it's kind of longing saying something should be different i want something else i'm yearning i'm hoping i'm desperate because there's something else I know oh I seen it and other people talk about it i'm waiting for that right so this is the the trick or this is the shift because once we acknowledge that waiting and allowing it to be as it is just acknowledging it we can ask it to take you there take me now feel that waiting feel that energy in your chest or whatever it's there for you feel it say "I see you i see you i hear you here you are i acknowledge you you're loud now show me where you want me to go show me what you want me to see thank you." And just wait now you don't need to do anything you don't need to look anywhere else just look at that energy itself this is the key this is the entrance looking at that waiting letting it show itself fully and acknowledging it you no longer need to run away from it you no longer need to do all these crazy things that you do to not feel that waiting or to fix that it's here for you to be met okay now what happens when you meet it here you are there's nothing to wait you're already here you're already here as this presence as this beingness that's it so here is the turning point you ask this question dead on directly right on right now are you willing and ready to find what you're looking for if so ask this question what am I

really take a moment what am I really really want to know what am I

really do you notice the mind gets quiet the space opens there is this stillness silence blankness there is nothing here yet you are here you are not as an image not as a thought as a body a sensation or ideas none of that you are as this openness as this presence just this and you know that you are it's as simple as that there's nothing to look for it's a matter of noticing what is already here it's the matter of taking away resistances expectations and fears and everything to get to this place where you can actually sense that silence that's always been here and it's here right now this is what you are looking for so you can see there is nothing to find that silence that peace openness calmness just existing just being it's here to be seen it's here to be recognized remembered this is it you are this is it
